At Amani: A Cleansing Place, we intend to provide our guests with a professional, therapeutic massage. Your massage therapist is an ashiatsu and deep tissue specialist. And is certified in hot stone application. Your therapist has National Board Certification, licensed by the State of Tennessee.
Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment. If cancellation is made less than 12 hours prior to your appointment, a fee of 50% of the cost of the requested service will be charged to the credit card on file. No shows will be charged the full-service price.
We regret that late arrivals will not receive extension of scheduled appointments. In special cases, and when our schedule allows, we may be able to accommodate a partial or full appointment. This will be at our discretion and only with proper, advanced notification of your late arrival. The original reservation fee will be charged.communicate with us throughout the session to let us know if you'd like more or less pressure, or if you're feeling uncomfortable in any way.
eGift cards and gift certificates cannot be refunded or redeemed for cash. They have no cash value. Memphis Massage Masters is not responsible for lost or stolen Gift Certificates.
We are a card-only business. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, Discover, and Amani eGift cards/gift certificates. No checks will be accepted.
Groups and parties require a 25% reservation fee. Cancellation made less than 48 hours before requested services will result in a forfeit of the reservation fee.
Before each session, the treatment plan will be discussed with you. You will receive a copy of our policies on your first visit. You will be asked to sign the consent stating that you have read the information, understand it, and agree to comply with the professional massage therapy policies and procedures. Clients who we have not been seen by our therapists within a 12-month period will be asked to complete this form again.
Our therapists are licensed professionals and are held to the highest standards of the AMTA. Massage Therapy is a profession in which the practitioner applies manual techniques, and may apply adjunctive therapies, with the intention of positively affecting the health and well-being of the client. Massage therapists do not diagnose or prescribe for medical conditions nor are they allowed to provide treatment for a specific condition without a doctor's supervision. The massage therapist is required to refer you for diagnosis and to follow recommendations of your physician.
Therapists are happy to adjust pressure, temperature, music volume, work longer on specific areas, or move on if you request it.
For massage therapy sessions, the client may choose to undress only to their level of comfort, refuse any massage methods, stop the massage session at any time and is free to leave. The therapy door is never locked.
Clients will always be modestly draped. Only the area being massaged will be undraped. Please inform your therapist at any point during a massage session if you feel uncomfortable in any way regarding draping, level of pressure, room temperature or any other discomfort.
Requests for sexual activity will not be tolerated, will be viewed as solicitation, and will be reported to the proper authorities under the guidelines of the massage therapy policies and procedures. The client will not be rescheduled if this occurs. The breast and genital area will not be massaged under any circumstances. Permission will be asked before working close to these areas; otherwise, a professional distance will be maintained. Sexual interaction or discussion of any kind between the client and the massage therapist is NEVER appropriate.
Massage for anyone under the age of 18 will be done only with parental consent and with the parent present at all times during the massage session.
Discussion between the massage therapist and the client is confidential. The client may choose to talk or remain silent during the massage. We prefer not to discuss topics of a political, private, or sexual nature.
The client's responsible for keeping the staff informed of any current medical treatment or conditions and providing written permission from the physician, chiropractor, physical therapist, etc., for services to be applied. The client must also keep the staff informed of any changes in health conditions.
To secure your personally identifiable information and for your peace of mind, we have put procedures in place to safeguard the personal information we collect on your intake form and anything that you might submit to us online. Such steps allow us to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, maintain data accuracy and ensure the appropriate use of the personally identifiable information you provide.
We will never share the information you provide to us with anyone.
